When to get walk-in Covid-19 jabs including boosters from vaccination hubs at Addenbrooke’s, Royal Papworth and Hinchingbrooke hospitals
Hospital vaccination hubs have today announced that they are opening their doors to local people aged 18 and over looking to get their Covid-19 vaccinations, including boosters, for the coming few days.
Until now, they have been primarily offering boosters only via appointments.
Hours vary throughout the week, with the latest details at www.thevaccinators.co.uk.
Dr Gary Howsam, chair of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and a local GP, said: “There is no better time to come forward to get your Covid-19 booster, with so many sites open to book or to walk-in, it really is easy to get that all important booster dose.
“Thank you to our hospital-based vaccination teams for opening their doors to walk-ins to provide extra flexibility for people to get vaccinated between Christmas and the new year.”
Wednesday December 29
- Royal Papworth Hospital – 8am until 8.30pm
- The Deakin Centre at Addenbrooke’s – 8am until 6pm
- Outpatients Department at Peterborough City Hospital – 8am until 3pm
- Hinchingbrooke Hospital – 8am until 5pm
Two pop-up vaccination sites are also operating on December 29 at:
- Clay Farm Centre, Hobson Square, Trumpington, CB2 9FN – 10am until 1pm, offering boosters for those 18-plus and second doses for those aged 12-15 who are at high risk or live with someone more likely to get Covid-19
- Cottenham Village Hall, Lambs Lane, CB24 8TA – 10.30am until 5pm, offering boosters and first and second doses of the Pfizer vaccine.

To access a booster uou must have had your second dose at least three months ago to have a booster. Wear a mask when visiting.
