Wimpole Estate to close due to predicted high winds

Wimpole Estate will be closed to visitors on Sunday (February 9) due to predicted high winds.

A statement from the National Trust property said this includes parkland, woodland, the farmhouse, gardens, restaurant and shop.

“We will review the forecast on Monday morning when we hope to open again.”

A yellow weather warning has been issued for the region on Sunday.

Storm Ciara is expected to bring “very strong winds and potentially some disruption to travel throughout Sunday,” the Met Office has said.
