To celebrate the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III, The Hill Group is offering an exclusive opportunity for readers of the Cambridge Independent to win tickets for a wonderful afternoon tea experience on the famous Brigit’s Bakery Paddington Bear Bus.

Eight sets of four tickets are available for the iconic red London bus, which will make its way from London to Cambridge and take centre stage in Jubilee Square at The Hill Group’s stunning new residential development, Marleigh, on Bank Holiday Monday, May 8, 2023.

The lucky competition winners will be invited to hop on board to take their seats and enjoy a mouth-watering selection of freshly prepared savoury snacks, indulge in a range of homemade sweet treats, and freshly baked scones with clotted cream and jam, alongside a choice of hot and cold drinks.

Terms and Conditions

  • 1. The competition ends at 10am on Friday, April 21, 2023. . After this date no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
  • 2. The winner will be contacted by telephone and/or email by a representative at Cambridge Independent on Friday 21st April 2023, this is the same day the competition closes. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 3 days of notification, Cambridge Independent reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
  • 3. The winner will be chosen at random. No discussion will be entered into. Submission of an entry will be taken to mean acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  • 4. This competition is open to residents of the UK only, and except for employees of The Hill Group, their families or anyone else associated with this competition.
  • 5. The winner will be required to sign a photography disclaimer form and be prepared to have their photos taken by and be interviewed by The Cambridge Independent. Interview quotes and photos will be used for marketing purposes and shared on social media channels by The Cambridge Independent, The Hill Group and The Oracle Group.

Prizes

  • 6. This competition will result in eight winners. Each competition winner will receive one ticket which will admit 4 people (including the winner themselves) to enjoy afternoon tea and cake on the Brigit’s Bakery Paddington Bus on Monday 8th May 2023.

Food Preferences, Allergies and Intolerances

  • 7. Brigit’s Bakery offer a range of menus to cater for all requirements and preferences, and include, Traditional, Vegan, Vegetarian, Halal and Gluten-free. Unfortunately, Brigit’s Bakery is unable to cater for: nut-free, peanut-free, combination of dairy & gluten-free, combination of vegan & gluten-free and Coeliacs. At the time of being contacted as a prize winner, it is the responsibility of the prize winner to inform The Cambridge Independent of any special dietary requirements for any person in their party.
  • 8. All prizes are non-transferable and there are no cash alternatives.
  • 9. The prize will be posted/emailed within the UK by special delivery once the winner’s details have been received.
  • 10. Events may occur that render the competition itself or the awarding of the prizes impossible, due to reasons beyond the control of The Hill Group, and accordingly they may, at its absolute discretion, vary or amend the promotion, and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to the promoter as a result thereof.
