Woman, 80, dies after car collides with bollard in Impington




An elderly woman has died at Addenbrooke’s Hospital after being involved in a collision in Impington.

Elsie Marnoch, 80, of Mill Lane, Histon, was driving a beige Ford Fiesta when the vehicle collided with a bollard in Bridge Road and flipped on its side at about 11.45am on February 12.

It is not believed that any other vehicles were involved.

Police, fire crews and paramedics all attended the scene and Mrs Marnoch’s injuries were assessed at the scene.

Police confirmed today (March 9) that she died at the Cambridge hospital on March 1.

Anyone who witnessed the collision should call 101 and ask to speak to a member of the serious collision unit, quoting incident 190 of 12 February.
