Woman, 86, dies after crash on A1307 between Linton and Haverhill

An 86-year-old woman from Linton has died following a collision on the A1307 between Linton and Haverhill.
Jean Merritt, of Wheatsheaf Way, Linton, was driving a blue Daihatsu Sirion when she was involved in the crash with a blue Nissan Micra near Horseheath on Friday (15 March).
Emergency services attended and she was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, where she died on Monday (18 March).
An 85-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the car, is still being treated in hospital for serious but not life-threatening injuries.
