Working tirelessly for the area's most vulnerable families
James Bennett is the winner of the final Cambridge Independent Employee Award.
James is manager at Romsey Mill and leads the children’s and youth work programmes.
Colleague Georgina Forbes nominated James. She said he works tirelessly to encourage and support staff as they support some of the most vulnerable families in our community.
She said: “James will often step in to cover staff absence, where he can, so programmes can still run.
“He overseas safe guarding issues for the children and young people we work with and although his job sometimes brings him in to really heartbreaking situations, he is always cheerful, professional and positive in his approach.
“I cannot think of anyone who is more deserving of a Cambridge Independant Employee Award.”
James was presented with prizes by the awards sponsors Ann Pettengell, Cambridge Fruit Company, Chocolat Chocolat and Royal Cambirdge Hotel, who dropped by for the Little Millers session at the centre on Mill Road.
