Strong winds, named ‘Storm Ciara’ by the Met Office, are set to bring unsettled weather to the Eastern region on Saturday night and all day Sunday.
From 6pm on Saturday, February 8, and continuing until midnight on Sunday, very strong gusts - of up to 60 mph - are likely across many inland areas, potentially bringing disruption to parts of the UK.
The strongest winds in exposed locations could even reach 80mph and, as a result of this windy weather, there may be some delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport. Some roads and bridges could also close.
Power cuts might also be a possibility and there is a slight chance of some damage to buildings.
