A carousel of colour creates festival vibe at South Cambs School Sports Partnership competition
A carousel of inclusive activities was staged by South Cambs School Sports Partnership in partnership with Panathlon Challenge.
Pupils from seven primary schools attended the event at Cambourne Village College to take part in the sports festival.
Panathlon is a national charity which gives thousands of young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) the opportunity to take part in competitive sport.
The activities available were boccia blast, new age kurling, basketball, parachute popcorn, precision beanbag, and skittles.
Sports leaders from Cambourne Village College organised and delivered the activities which saw pupils able to gain points for their school.
Steeple Morden Primary School managed to accumulate the highest score to win the gold medals and together with Bar Hill, who won the event at Impington Village College earlier in the term, will go forward to represent South Cambs at the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough School Games Disability & Inclusion Festival.
Overall results: 1 Steeple Morden, 2 Elsworth, 3 Hardwick & Cambourne, 4 Willingham, 5 Pendragon, 6 University of Cambridge Primary, 7 Gamlingay.
