Histon confirm signing of attacker of Charlie Black from Kempston Rovers and Lakenheath’s Luke Young
After announcing a batch of player retentions, Histon have confirmed their first two new signings of the summer.
The arrival of Charlie Black will see him reunited with Stutes boss Chris Nunn – the pair having recently worked together during the latter’s stint in charge of AFC Rushden & Diamonds.
The versatile forward has also played for the likes of Biggleswade United, Dunstable Town, Arlesey Town and Kempston Rovers, as well as undergoing trials in Finland, the USA and Spain.
And he has been joined in signing on the dotted line at Bridge Road by Luke Young.
Last season the attacker was the leading scorer at Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division side Lakenheath with a return of 19 goals from 43 appearances.
Both players featured for Histon during their 2-1 pre-season friendly defeat to Hitchin Town at the weekend.
Meanwhile, alongside the additions, Histon have also confirmed that goalkeeper Sam Roach and winger Joe Sutton have joined the growing list of players that have re-committed to the club for the 2024/25 season.
