Small but select Cambs squad make trip to Manchester

Ben Snaith and Will Mycroft narrowly missed out on medals at the CAU Inter-County Championships in Manchester.

The duo were part of a small Cambridgeshire squad that made their way to Sportcity.

Snaith set a personal best of 20.86sec in the 200m to finish fourth, with the bronze medal won in 20.59.

Mycroft was taking part in the 3,000m steeplechase and was also fourth, in 9min 24.27sec, missing out on a medal by five seconds.

Maisey Snaith was the sole member of the women’s team and she ran a personal best 24.52 for sixth in the 200m final.

Martin Tinkler was sixth in the shot with a best throw of 14.62m, Curtis Wood was ninth in the high jump with a clearance of 1.90m, Daniel Lees was fourth in his heat of the 800m in 1.55.74, while Josh Lunn was unlucky as he suffered a fall in the steeplechase.
