A collection of former and present Cambridge City Hockey Club players have earned Great Britain and England representation.

James Albery has been playing for England in the past week in his first appearances for the country since 2018. In a series of matches in the 2021/22 FIH Hockey Pro League season, England beat Spain 6-1 and 3-2.

Current player Tom Spreckley has been named in the England under-18 boys’ squad for 2022 as part of the England Age Group Programme and Henry Green is part of the England under-16 boys' squad for 2022.

Former City players Maddie Axford, Katie Curtis and Imogen Swann, who are all currently at university, have been selected to be part of the GB Women’s Elite Development Programme for 2022, and Connor Webb is on the men's equivalent.

The GB EDP was designed to help those identified as having the potential to perform on the world’s best level an environment in which they could develop the skills, physicality and character required to become a medal-winning Olympian.
