Cambridge City under-17s savour League Cup glory
And Lilywhites are set to launch SSE Wildcats sessions
Molly White was at the double for Cambridge City as they triumphed 5-0 over Stotfold to lift the Under-17 League Cup.
The deadlock was broken when Anna Kanz fired home an unstoppable strike.
White then hit two identical free kicks into the top corner of the net to make it 3-0 at half time.
Second-half goals from Yas Crow and Katie Crook sealed the cup glory.
Ruby Austin hit a hat-trick and Jada Flatts got two as Cambridge City beat March Town Athletic 5-0 in the S-Tech Girls League, Division 13A.
Cambridge City Ladies & Girls Football Club will be running SSE Wildcats sessions at Trumpington Leisure Centre from April. The girls’ football centres provide regular chances for girls aged five to 11 to play football.
Former Chelsea and Arsenal player Laura Mills will be the lead coach for the Cambridge City centre, which will be held every Friday between 5.30pm and 6.30pm, starting on April 13.
