Joe Tetley hit his second ton in as many weeks for Burwell & Exning, but it was not enough to see off Cambridge Granta, who were held to a third draw in a row in the Gibbs Denley East Anglian Premier League.

Granta won the toss and elected to put Burwell in, and they were struggling on 12 for 2 after the early dismissals of Josh Arksey (0) and Tom Griffiths (8).

Simon Donald (22) and Tetley steadied the innings, but it was the fourth-wicket partnership between Burwell & Exning's captain and Paul Summerskill that advanced scoring.

Tetley was eventually dismissed for 102, off 108 balls, with the score on 177 for 4.

Summerskill got a half-century (54) as Burwell & Exning were eventually bowled out for 277.

Ben Claydon was the mainstay of the Granta reply, hitting 87 as his partnership with Chris Benjamin (51) was worth 127 for the second wicket.

Chris Pepper also contributed 45 and it helped Granta to earn the draw as they finished on 242 for 8.

Oakley Colby was the pick of the Burwell & Exning bowlers with three for 47.
