LEARN MORECambridge United have discovered some of the obstacles lying in their path in the first two cup competitions of the 2022/23 season.
The draws for the Papa John's Trophy and the Carabao Cup were made on Thursday.
In the EFL Trophy, United had already been placed in Southern Group H alongside Ipswich Town and Northampton Town, and they were waiting to find out which one of the 16 Premier League clubs' under-21 teams they would be up against. And it will be Arsenal under-21s.
In the Carabao Cup, first round, United were in the southern section of the draw, and they were paired to host Millwall at the Abbey Stadium. It will be the second year in a row the sides have faced each other in the competition.
Last year, the U's travelled to the Den in the second round of the league cup, and suffered a 3-1 defeat.
