Barry Corr was the hero in win over Cheltenham

Cambridge United made it three games unbeaten after picking up four points in a double header in Sky Bet League Two.

After beating Cheltenham Town 4-3 at the Abbey Stadium on Saturday, they made the long trip to Morecambe for a rearranged match last night (Tuesday).

It was a depleted U’s squad, with only five players on the bench, but there was a league debut for keeper Dimitar Mitov.

In a largely uneventful match, the teams had to settle for a point apiece in a 0-0 draw.

Barry Corr was the hero for the second week running for the U’s against Cheltenham.

They went behind inside three minutes, but Greg Taylor equalised from Jevani Brown’s corner after 10 minutes.

The Robins went back in front through Mo Eisa after 13 minutes, and it stayed 2-1 at half time after Medy Elito blazed a penalty over the bar for the U’s.

George Maris levelled matters in the 53rd minute, and the U’s had the lead when Brown converted a penalty on the hour.

Eisa made it 3-3 after 79 minutes, but two minutes later, Corr pounced for the U’s winner.

United’s penultimate match of the season is at Newport this Saturday (April 28).
