Jade Bell, Kelley Blanchflower and Mollie Coupar were on target for Cambridge United Women as they beat AFC Wimbledon Ladies 3-0 in the FA Women’s National League, Division One South East.

Bell broke the deadlock in the first half, and Blanchflower and Coupar found the net after the break to see United sit ninth in the table.

Cambridge City have progressed to the quarter-finals of the Eastern Region Women’s League Cup.

They were facing Hutton at home, and made a good start as Bella Simmons slotted home.

City were being a bit profligate and found themselves level when Victoria Kinsman scored from the penalty spot, for her 32nd of the season, for Hutton.

The Lilywhites soon settled down, and two quickfire goals from Erin Davies made it 3-1 at half time.

And City stepped up their game after the break, with Shannon Shaw scoring twice, Charlotte Gillies firing home from long range, Carla Penny heading home and Simmons wrapping it up with her second.

City will be looking to keep their unbeaten league form in tact when they face AFC Sudbury this Sunday.

The Lilywhites’ development team also made progression in a cup, defeating Riverside Ladies 6-0 in the S-Tech Women’s League Cup.

Freya Standing and Megan Tonks got two goals apiece, Ellie Cullum was also on target and the scoring was completed by an own goal.
