Cambridge United Women and Cambridge City Ladies to clash in S-Tech Women's Invitation Cup final

Cambridge United Women and Cambridge City Ladies will go head to head in the S-Tech Women’s Invitation Cup final.

In the semi-finals, the U’s faced St Ives Town, and won 1-0 thanks to a first-half goal from Mollie Coupar.

There was a bit more breathing space in the other semi-final as City triumphed 13-0 at Wisbech Town.

Carla Penny led the way with four goals, with Lauren Tomlinson, Erin Davies and Sarah Mosley getting two apiece. The scoring was completed by one apiece from Shannon Shaw, Laura Mills and Amy Reed.

Both teams are back at home in league action this Sunday (February 24), with United facing Leyton Orient in the FA Women’s National League, Division One South East and City against City Acle United in the Eastern Region Women’s Football League, Premier Division.
