Sides clash in annual fixture at Grange Road

Cambridge University make six changes to their side to face Cambridge in the Town v Gown match at Grange Road tonight (Wednesday, October 4).

The Light Blues head into the clash (kick off 7.30pm) with their near neighbours looking for their first win of the campaign, in the first official fixture since the start of the Michaelmas Term.

They produced an encouraging display in a last-minute 29-27 defeat to Loughborough University, and followed that up with a 28-28 draw with Durham University last week.

Buchan Richardson scored two tries and Jake Hennessey got one before Henry King’s last-gasp effort led to Mike Phillips landing a fourth conversion of the night for the draw.

Nick Koster will make his first start for the Light Blues tonight as one of three changes in the forwards, with a further three switches among the backs.
