Cambridgeshire Cats claim British American Football Association SFC1 East Division Championship
Cambridgeshire Cats finished the regular season in style by claiming the British American Football Association SFC1 East Division Championship.
On Coldham's Common, they were up against London Blitz and secured an emphatic 41-13 triumph.
The hosts dominated the game from the first play: a long touchdown pass from Mark Rivett (6) to Thabiso Mpofu (7).
Rivett would go on to throw for six touchdowns in the game, including three to Kayode Dennis (17).
The defence, led by captains Tom Mann (1) and Jonny Hodgson (5), stifled the Blitz B offense, holding them to two passing completions and no points until late in the game when the result was beyond doubt.
It means that the Cats have a date in the BAFA Division One play-offs.
They start this Sunday (August 14) at home to Wembley Stallions. The match kicks off at 2pm on Coldham's Common in Cambridge.
