Wins for under-11 and under-13 teams

Coton girls’ cricket teams have had a summer to remember.

With nearly 50 girls out of 140 juniors playing the sport this summer, the tournament successes have followed.

The under-13 girls’ team, with two under-12s and the remainder under-11s, were unbeaten at the Three Counties Under-13 Girls’ Cricket tournament at Woolpit.

They won by 88 runs against Woolpit B, by one run against Thriplow, by 49 runs against Chelmsford, by two runs against Woolpit A and by 15 runs against Melton Achilles.

It was a repeat success for Coton girls as earlier in the season the under-11s and under-13s won the Lady Taverners Tournament at Woolpit, beating teams from Copdock, Hadleigh, Melton Achilles, Saffron Walden, Thriplow and Woolpit.
