The Cambridgeshire Golf Club Ladies’ Championship goes the way of Grace Eastment for 21st time
Grace Eastment was victorious at The Cambridgeshire Golf Club Ladies’ Championship over the weekend after a two-year absence from ill health.
The Cambridgeshire Golf Club member, who chalked up a score of 167 gross playing with a handicap of 13, has now come out on top 21 times over the previous 26 years.
Ann Martin, who is the Cambridgeshire Golf Club’s Ladies’ captain, finished in the runner-up position.
Meanwhile, the nett winner of The Rowlinson Lady Trophy was Sue Kent with 70 points and the Carrington Bowl nett winner was Rosemary Rennie with 71 points to her name.
Elsewhere, Julie Harvey and Christine Barnes qualified for the regional finals of The Coronation Foursomes, to be held at Thetford Golf Club in Norfolk, while runner-up Martin did manage to get her hands on some silverware in the shape of the Robin Cruse Trophy.
The Ladies’ Layton Salvers were won by Bridget Hendry and Lynne King respectively.
