FA Cup first round draw: Cambridge United to face either Morecambe or Chester at Cledara Abbey Stadium
Cambridge United will have home advantage over non-league opposition in the first round of the FA Cup.
The U’s will face either Morecambe or Chester at the Cledara Abbey Stadium over the weekend of 1 November, with those two sides set to face each other in a replay tomorrow night.
Saturday’s original tie ended in a 1-1 draw after Finley Shrimpton’s stoppage-time equaliser for Chester, who ply their trade a level below Morecambe in the National League North.
Cambridge have advanced beyond the first round of the competition in each of the four previous seasons.
