Cambridge United youngsters Kai Yearn and Greg Sandiford join EFL Championship side Coventry City

Cambridge United youngsters Kai Yearn and Greg Sandiford have sealed moves to Coventry City.

The duo, who were released by the U’s at the end of last season, will both initially link up with the EFL Championship side’s Under-21s.

Having turned out for Stoke City’s Under-23s in April, attacking midfielder Yearn moves on as United’s youngest ever goalscorer with seven senior appearances under his belt.

Meanwhile, full-back Sandiford has left the Cledara Abbey Stadium without appearing for the first team.

Both Yearn and Sandiford were members of United’s Under-18 team that made club history during the 2022/23 season by reaching the quarter-finals of the FA Youth Cup.
