Former Cambridge United loanee Gassan Ahadme has joined fellow Sky Bet League One outfit Charlton Athletic from Ipswich Town on a four-year deal.
The 23-year-old striker netted 13 goals from 33 appearances in all competitions for the U’s last term as United finished 18th in the standings.
The former Portsmouth and Real Oviedo B man joined Ipswich from Burton Albion in September 2022 and went onto made just eight appearances for the Portman Road outfit – scoring once.
He has now joined The Addicks for an undisclosed fee and joins Nathan Jones’ preparations for the 2024/25 season.
Norwich City academy graduate Ahadme scored two late goals for Cambridge at The Valley under Neil Harris in a dramatic 2-2 draw last campaign.
