Stoppage time effort seals win over Spireites

Harrison Dunk grabbed a stoppage-time winner as Cambridge United came back from behind to end a long run on the road without victory by defeating Chesterfield 3-2 in Sky Bet League Two.

It started badly for the U’s as they conceded the opening goal in the first minute, Chris O’Grady’s deep cross leading to an own goal from Dunk.

But United hit back in the 21st minute as Laurence Maguire turned Liam O’Neil’s cross into his own net.

Kristian Dennis put Chesterfield back in front in the 55th minute, only for Uche Ikpeazu to equalise from the spot in the 67th minute after Billy Waters had been fouled.

There was late drama as Dunk converted George Maris’ corner in the fifth minute of stoppage time to give United their first win on the road since September.
