Histon maintain impressive run of form

By CambridgeIndependent Reporter

Stutes make it four league wins in a row

Histon made it five wins on the bounce with a 3-1 victory over Walsham le Willows in Thurlow Nunn League, Premier Division.

The Stutes have been on a great run of form in November, and did not let up in Suffolk.

Histon took the lead in the seventh minute through a bizarre goal as Evan Key’s penalty was saved, but a Walsham defender thumped the rebound into his own net.

Walsham equalised, but a great through ball set Tommy Wright free to fire in Histon’s second after 19 minutes.

And the scoring was completed with Matt Hayden’s 25-yard effort in the 64th minute.

Histon are at home to Newmarket Town this Saturday (December 2).
