Histon slipped to a 5-1 defeat at Romford in BetVictor Isthmian League, North Division last Saturday.

The hosts had not won yet this season, but took the lead after five minutes through Tami Babalola.

Dan Brown equalised for Histon just two minutes later, but goals from Reece Tranter and Babalola made it 3-1 at half time.

Two second-half goals from Giovanni Palmer completed the victory.

Histon were held to a 1-1 draw by Soham Town Rangers in the Velocity Trophy, Group 10.

Josh James put the visitors ahead in the 75th minute, but James Chivers' header brought Histon level 10 minutes later.

It meant the game went to penalties to decide who got the bonus point on offer, and it went the way of Histon with a 3-1 success.

Histon are at home to Hullbridge Sports this Saturday (October 26).
