Cambridge City confirm departure of Shane Temple to Grays Athletic along with arrival of Ramiah Mills from Basildon United
Cambridge City have confirmed the departure of striker Shane Temple.
The attacker, who joined the Lilywhites during the summer from Maldon & Tiptree, made history earlier this season when he scored the first ever goal at the club’s new FWD/IP Community Stadium.
However, having often had to settle for appearances off the bench throughout the campaign, Temple has now opted to sign for fellow Isthmian League North Division outfit Grays Athletic.
Temple leaves having featured on a total of 26 occasions in all competitions for City, from which he scored three goals.
However, manager Jamie Cureton has wasted little time in securing the services of a replacement with the arrival of Ramiah Mills.
The forward has agreed to link up with City having scored five goals this season for Basildon United.
Mills, who has also previously turned out for the likes of Ware, Waltham Abbey and London Colney, was part of the Basildon side that beat City 3-1 in late August.
Mills could make his debut for Cureton’s side when they play host to play-off hunting Heybridge Swifts tomorrow (28 December).
