Ian Miller signs for Cambridge City

Former U's centre-back to join Lilywhites

Former Cambridge United defender Ian Miller has joined Cambridge City.

The 33-year-old centre-back was captain of the U’s and led them back to the Football League in 2014.

Miller suffered an Achilles injury and missed most of United’s first season back in the League before being released at the end of that season.

He joined Needham Market, and after two years there, will now link up with the Lilywhites.

“Agreeing terms with Ian Miller is massive for us,” said City manager Robbie Nightingale.

“He is a player that I have identified for a long while as someone who will bring the necessary experience and quality to the squad, and he is really pleased to be joining Cambridge City.

“It’s a real statement of intent from us as to where we want to go next season and I am both delighted and excited that he will be part of the City squad for the new campaign.

“I would also like to thank the supporters’ trust for their backing in enabling us to bring Ian to the club.”
