Imogen Grant and Melissa Wilson make World Rowing Championship semi-finals

Cambridge University Women's Boat Club duo qualify in Bulgaria

Imogen Grant and Melissa Wilson have made progress into the semi-finals of the World Rowing Championships in Bulgaria.

Cambridge University Women’s Boat Club’s Grant, the world under-23 champion, set a British record of 7min 29.39sec in the lightweight women’s single sculls heats in Plovdiv, winning by three lengths on her senior world championship debut.

Fellow Light Blue Wilson was in the women’s quadruple scull alongside Mathilda Hodgkins Byrne, Jess Leyden and Zoe Lee and they were second from start to finish behind Germany to move into the semi-finals in 6.20.04.
