Success for club at East Regional Winter Long Course Championships

Jonathan Adam was the golden star for City of Cambridge Swimming Club as they won eight medals at the East Regional Winter Long Course Championships.

He was first in the 50m backstroke, and took silver in the 200m backstroke and bronze in the 100m backstroke.

Kathryn Loveys earned silver in the 100m breaststroke and was fourth in the 50m and 200m disciplines.

Dimitris Kousoulidis, Jake Moxham, Hugo Bellamy and Henry Choong won silver in the 4x100m relay; Adam, Dominic Holloway, Callum Ferguson and Jake Moxham won bronze in the 4x100m medley relay. And there was bronze for Loveys, Lauren Hall, Amy Felgate and Millie Emmans in the 4x100m relay.

City of Cambridge head coach James Freezer said: “It was a fantastic weekend of racing from the team. I am very proud that their commitment and hard work is paying off.”
