Cambridge City sign Jamie Dicks from Potters Bar Town and Ipswich Wanderers striker Tom Richardson ahead of first game at new stadium

Ahead of one of the biggest days in the club’s history, Cambridge City manager Jamie Cureton has bolstered his squad with two new signings.

Both of the additions are set to be included in the Lilywhites squad for this weekend’s Isthmian League North Division clash against Tilbury – a game that will mark City’s first ever match at the FWD-IP Community Stadium, bringing an end to the club’s 11-year spell without a home.

First to arrive is midfielder Jamie Dicks, who has signed from Step 3 outfit Potters Bar Town.

The 31-year-old joined Bar in the summer after spells with the likes of Romford, Thurrock, Bowers & Pitsea, Enfield, Grays Athletic and Aveley.

Meanwhile, striker Tom Richardson has signed on the dotted line from fellow North Division outfit Ipswich Wanderers.

The forward has a proven track record at the level having won the Golden Boot award in 2022 with his 29-goal haul while on the books of Brentwood Town.

Richardson made a total of nine appearances for Wanderers this term, from which he found the back of the net on two occasions.
