Matt Hague has challenged Sawston & Babraham to maintain the winning habit created this season when they host Witham Town in the East Anglian Premier League, promotion play-off semi-final on Sunday (September 15).

The 32-year-old opener has been a standout performer as Sawston & Babraham went unbeaten on their way to the Whiting & Partners Cambs & Hunts Premier League, Division One title.

“We don’t know too much about them so it’s one of those games where we can’t worry about them too much,” he said.

“We’ve got to do what we do well and fingers crossed it will be good enough. Being undefeated, hopefully we can just keep the winning habit, I guess.

“We’ve been practising some good habits this year and when the pressure comes we revert back to the way we’ve practised and played so hopefully that will be good enough.”
