Chief coach Robert Weber said: "I'm extremely proud of our athletes especially in how they were able to switch gears so quickly and seamlessly on the heels of the Boat Races.

"Some of these crews had only managed one or two (or even no) sessions together before racing."

He added: “In addition, our Development Squad crews got some valuable racing experience, with the WInt4+ winning a hard earned spot in the A Final. We look forward to welcoming many of these athletes trialling with us in September.”

Cambridge University Boat Club saw some of their Goldie athletes win the intermediate coxed four.
