Mikey Davis was at the double for Cambridge City in a 2-0 win at Loughborough Dynamo in the Northern Premier League, Midlands Division.

After a goalless first half, the Lilywhites broke the deadlock in the 56th minute.

In a flowing move, Ryan Ingrey laid off to Davis to finish with a low shot into the corner of the net.

They completed the win in the 84th minute, with another good move leading to Davis firing through the keeper to end a run of four games without success.

The result lifts City up to 12th in the table ahead of a home clash with Coleshill Town this Saturday (December 11).

Histon suffered a 1-0 defeat at home to Sporting Khalsa.

The only goal of the game came in the 22nd minute through Khalsa’s Matt Fulloway.

One lapse proved all the difference as the defensively-resolute visitors held firm for all three points.

Histon remain second from bottom of the table, one point clear of Soham Town Rangers and on the same number was Wisbech Town.

The Stutes have a big match this Saturday as they travel to Daventry Town, who sit one place outside the relegation zone and only three points better off than Lance Key’s side.
