Oliver Brunt had a pivotal role for the England Independent Schools’ Golf Association team as they defeated Scotland to win the inaugural Coda Cup Under-15 International Match.
The Perse School pupil partnered Ben Newman as they won their foursomes match one up against Scotland’s Lyle Murdoch and Sam Hall, and they defeated the same duo 3&2 in their second match in the better ball format.
In the singles matches, Brunt halved his game with Jan Voltas Mereno, but the lead in the foursomes helped England secure an overall 11-6 win at Collingtree Park Golf Club.
Brunt will look to continue his run of form at the NASUWT South East of England Schools Championships in June and the English Schools Under-16 national final at Thetford in July.
He will also join forces with fellow Perse pupil Will McKernan to contest the ISGA Junior League final at Radley in June.
