More than 60 crews took part in the City of Cambridge Rowing Club Sprint Regatta last Saturday.
The event was held over 500m on the Long Reach, for clubs from Cambridgeshire Rowing Association and Cambridge University Combined Boat Clubs.
There was a whole host of races across the open, women’s and mixed categories, which included eights, coxed and coxless fours, quads, pairs, double sculls and single sculls.
The racing was split across three divisions.
In the Division One mixed event crews C final, Xpress Boat Club’s Bad Press defeated St Mary’s School, the B final saw Cantabrigian’s Quadraphobes earn victory, and the winner of the A final was a single sculler from Cambridge 99.
The men’s club single sculls was won by Christ’s College’s Max Fenner, a sculler from Cantabs won the men’s J14 to J17 single sculls, and a sculler from City of Cambridge won the women’s J13 to J18 category.
In Division Three, Churchill M2 won the men’s novice eights, City of Cambridge were victorious in the women’s novice eights, Caius Boat Club were first in the women’s club and Masters B eights, and victory was sealed by Cantabs’ Aquaphobes in the men’s club and masters eights.
