Former Cambridge United youngster Prince Mutswungama signs for Cambridge City on dual registration terms from Bedford Town

Cambridge City manager Jamie Cureton has bolstered his attacking options with the signing of Prince Mutswungama.

The former Cambridge United academy player has linked up with the Lilywhites on dual registration terms from higher-league Bedford Town.

Prior to linking up with the Step 3 Eagles during the summer, the 24-year-old played professionally in the League of Ireland Premier Division with Waterford.

The switch to City will be Mutswungama’s second dual registration move of the season, having already made seven appearances for fellow Isthmian League North Division outfit Newmarket Town.

During his short spell with the Jockeys the winger scored twice, including the winning goal against Ipswich Wanderers in the FA Cup.

By chance, Mutswungama could make his City debut against Newmarket when the two teams meet at the Tristel Stadium on Tuesday (19 November).

Mutswungama also includes the likes of St Neots Town, Haverhill Rovers, Soham Town Rangers and AFC Rushden & Diamonds on his list of former clubs.
