Hills Road Sixth Form College’s under-18s girls triumph during trip to Bishop’s Stortford High School

Hills Road Sixth Form College’s under-18 girls continued preparations for the upcoming Rosslyn Park National Schools Sevens competition by picking up some silverware during their most recent outing.

The squad was invited alongside a handful of other teams to compete in the inaugural Bishop’s Stortford High School Sevens event.

And they made a positive start during the first phase of the competition by chalking up victories at the expense of Robert Clack College, Oundle School and the hosting team.

The squad then successfully advanced in their last four contest to set up a final against Oundle, during which they ran in six tries compared to the opposition’s three to be crowned champions.

More than 800 teams will compete at the upcoming Rosslyn Park tournament, which runs from March 20 to March 24.

Hills Road have been drawn alongside three English schools and one from Wales.
