Cambridge United striker Jabo Ibehre will miss the Cheltenham Town match through injury.

Cambridge United are likely to be without a quartet of players for their trip to Cheltenham Town in Sky Bet League Two tomorrow (Saturday, February 2).

Jabo Ibehre, David Forde and Liam O’Neil have not been able to train enough in their bids to comeback from injury, and while Reggie Lambe is a bit further forward in his return, the weather has not helped.

“We’ve been hampered by the fact that we haven’t been able to train properly in the way we would want to on Thursday and Friday,” said U’s head coach Colin Calderwood.

But new loan signings Hayden Coulson and Jake Doyle-Hayes could feature.

Cheltenham’s 3-2 win over Macclesfield saw them go a place above United in the table, but the two teams have the same number of points.

“They’ve got a right run of games – Macclesfield, ourselves and then Yeovil on Tuesday so we want to be the defeat in a winning sandwich for them,” said Calderwood.

“We’ve got to be in the game, and we were in the game last week (the 1-0 defeat to Exeter).

“But I want the feeling and I want the supporters and team to have the feeling that we’re capable of scoring goals in every half, in every game, home and away.

“That’s the challenge.”
