Rob Huff clinched two top 10 finishes in the FIA World Touring Car Cup round in Estoril.

The Cambridge driver is continuing to adapt to the new CUPRA Leon Competición and the circuit did not favour the cars from the Volkswagen Group, wih no CUPRA Racing or Audi Sport-developed car making it past the first segment of qualifying,

Huff, who races for Zengo Motorsport, qualified in 17th place, and had two eventful races.

In the first, he capitalised on Luca Engstler trying to pass Nathanael Berthon by going past both to take ninth place.

In race two, he moved rapidly up the order and was holding ground before being hit by Esteban Gurrieri. However, he still crossed the line in 10th, the best-placed of all the Volkswagen Group competitors.

The results gave Huff and Zengo Motorsport their best placings of the season, with two rounds raced.

"I'm really pleased with the results this weekend,” said Huff. “From where we started, to achieve two top 10s is a great result for the team and shows some great determination

"The car was good, although we did not have the speed to do what the Hondas and Hyundais could achieve this weekend, but that's all out of our hands and in the control of the organisers - it's clear that something's missing when they're able to go one second faster than us in the race and more.

"In any case, I'm really pleased to have scored a pair of top tens, and to have been the top of the CUPRA and Audi guys this weekend, all with a bit of being in the right place at the right time."
