Cambridge City youth teams chalk up wins in the S-Tech Girls' League




Ruby Want had the taste for goals for Cambridge City under-14 A in the S-Tech Girls’ League Cup.

She scored four times against Newmarket Town as the Lilywhites ran out 17-1 winners.

Liliana Oakes hit a hat-trick, Ruby Austin, Olivia Briffa, Jade Flatts and Harriet Henry got two goals apiece and regular keeper Grace Joslin and Emily Lucas were also on target.

Emily White and Bella Axelsson hit hat-tricks for Cambridge City as they won 8-1 against Comberton Crusaders in the S-Tech Girls’ League, Under-13s Division.

They went into half time at 1-1, with White scoring the Lilywhites’ goal against a dogged Comberton.

City turned on the style in the second half with White and Axelsson finishing with hat-tricks and Erin Burling and Amelia Hayes also on target.

Cambridge City moved into the semi-finals of the S-Tech Girls’ Under-12s League Cup with a 1-0 win at Bourne Town Juniors.

The only goal of the match came through Yas Jackson.

City will now face ICA Sports, of Peterborough, in the next round.

Two goals either side of half time helped Cambridge City to a 4-1 victory over Histon Hornets in the S-Tech Girls’ Under-15 League Cup.

City were 2-0 up at the break, but Histon reduced the arrears through a penalty. However, City pushed on to put the result beyond doubt.

Sasha Tristram scored twice and Katie Levatt and Yael Benjamin got one apiece.
