Stephen Perse Cambridge Under-15-Girls win Independent Schools Football Association competition with 3-1 victory over St Dunstan’s College
Stephen Perse Cambridge Under-15 girls' football team has been celebrating winning the Independent Schools Football Association U15 Girls Shield, a national football competition.
After securing victories in the first four rounds of the competition, the team beat St Dunstan’s College 3-1 in the final earlier this month.
Jenny McLeod, deputy head of co-curricular at Stephen Perse Cambridge, said: “Sport plays an important role in our students’ lives at Stephen Perse Cambridge, helping them maintain a healthy lifestyle and develop important skills such as communication, discipline and teamwork.
“Our girls' football team demonstrated all of those qualities in abundance during the match, as well as their ability to stay calm and composed under pressure.
“Cheered on by their parents and coaches, Mr Guffick and Mr Cooper, they secured a well-deserved win and are now looking forward to building on their success in the coming months.”
