Shelford run in four tries during Regional 1 South East encounter at Southend Saxons




Shelford ended a sequence of back-to-back Regional 1 South East defeats with a 30-13 victory away at Southend Saxons on Saturday.

The Peacocks made the journey to the Essex coast having lost out narrowly in their two most recent outings against Amersham & Chiltern and Sudbury.

However, they bounced back against the Saxons with a four-try triumph to stay seventh in the table.

Louie Tang, Miles Huppatz, George Cracknell and Lewis Cracknell all dotted down for Shelford, while the latter also added two conversions and a pair of penalties to his side’s tally.

Shelford will go in search of consecutive wins on Saturday (7 December) when they welcome HUEL Tring to the Davey Field.

Fourth-placed Tring, who are two points better off than Shelford, go into the fixture having suffered a hefty 43-7 home defeat at the hands of table-topping Oundle last time out.
