Shelford honour landmark appearance for Aki Lea with victory over Amersham & Chiltern in London League 1N




Shelford secured a 26-17 win over Amersham & Chiltern in London League 1N.

Lewis Cracknell helped them make the perfect start with a penalty inside the first three minutes, and he doubled their lead with a second 13 minutes later.

Will Corrigan touched down
for the hosts after 21 minutes to make it 11-0.

Amersham & Chiltern replied with three points of their own, but Cracknell matched the feat three minutes later to make it 14-3.

Alex Long’s try helped the hosts make it to half time with a 19-3 lead.

Eight minutes into the second half, Louie Tang touched down and Cracknell converted to make it 26-3.

Amersham & Chiltern hit back with two converted tries but Shelford held on to make sure that Aki Lea had something to celebrate, on his 200th appearance for the club.

Shelford are without a game this Saturday (February 8).
