Boost for the club from the Davey Field

Simon Hrbek touched down twice as Shelford upset high-fliers Tring in London & SE Premier.

The visitors took the lead through an eighth minute penalty, but Shelford hit back through a converted try.

And after the sides traded penalties, it remained 10-6 to Shelford at half time, although a Tring player had been shown a red card.

Hrbek got the first try of the second period, and then a touchdown from player-coach Mike Gillick and a penalty increased their lead to 25-6.

Hrbek got his second try to earn Shelford a bonus point, before a late rally from Tring.
