And Cambridge United Women are also triumphant

Stacey Fullicks was on the mark for Cambridge City as they defeated AFC Dunstable 1-0 in the East Region Women’s Football League, Premier Division.

It was a depleted Lilywhites that made the short trip, but they reached half time at 0-0.

The only goal came midway through the half as Sarah Mosley fed Fullicks, who sent it wide to winger Charlotte Gillies and then got into the box to flick the cross high to loop it into the net.

City face St Ives in the Cambs Invitation Cup semi-final this Sunday.

Their development team earned a 4-0 win over ICA Peterborough in the S-Tech Women’s League, Premiership Division, with second-half goals from Rachel Pearce (2), Yas Crow and Molly White.

Faith Hewitt scored for Cambridge United Women as they won 1-0 at Leyton Orient in the FA Women’s Premier League, South East Division One.

Teonie Peyton was on target for United’s reserves as they lost 2-1 to Hutton in the Eastern Region Women’s Football League Plate.
