Histon sign former Cambridge City and AFC Rushden & Diamonds attacker Pharrell Anderson
On the eve of the new season’s opening day, Histon boss Chris Nunn has made a late addition to his squad.
Pharrell Anderson is the new arrival at Bridge Road – a young attacker who ended the previous campaign at Cambridge City.
The 20-year-old made a total of 10 appearances for the Lilywhites, one of which came in the Cambridgeshire Invitation Cup final victory over Wisbech Town.
Prior to joining City towards the back end of 2023/24, Anderson scored two goals from 23 outings for AFC Rushden & Diamonds – the club where he first worked under Nunn’s management.
And now the pair have been reunited, with Anderson set to go straight into the squad for tomorrow’s GCE Hire Fleet United Counties Football League Premier Division South opener at home against Northampton Sileby Rangers.
Nunn wrote on the social networking site X: “Delighted to bring Pharrell in. He is only 20 and will get better for sure. Having worked with him previously we know what he can offer. The lad needs to hit a reset button and we are here to help him.”
