Histon settle for share of spoils after being pegged back by Lutterworth Town at Bridge Road

Histon were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw from their home GCE Hire Fleet United Counties Football League Premier Division South clash with Lutterworth Town at the weekend.

Both goals came during the first half at Bridge Road, where Matty Allan broke the deadlock for the hosts in the sixth minute.

However, they were pegged back by the visitors when Brandon Williams rose highest at the back post to head in from a corner.

Histon, who have lost just one of their last 11 home matches in a run that stretches back to January, will head to Hinckley AFC on Saturday (7 September).

Chris Nunn’s side will make the journey to Leicestershire without the services of striker Matt Hayden and midfielder Babacar Camara, both of whom departed the club last week.

Camara, who made more than 100 appearances for the club, has since completed a switch to Ely City.
