Histon unable to take their chances during stalemate draw at Lutterworth Town

Histon’s struggles in front of goal continued at the weekend during their 0-0 draw at Lutterworth Town.

The visiting Stutes carved out a number of opportunities to win the contest in Leicestershire, the best of which came in the final minute when they were awarded a penalty.

However, Danny Gould’s effort from the spot was saved, meaning that Chris Nunn’s side had to settle for a share of the spoils.

The stalemate means that 16th-placed Histon have scored just one goal in their last four Uhlsport United Counties Premier Division South outings.

They will seek to halt a five-game sequence without a victory on Saturday (10 February) when they travel to Butts Park Arena for a clash against 13th-placed Coventry United.

Coventry were beaten 2-1 at home by Yaxley last time out, having won back-to-back games prior to that encounter.
